Porcelain Veneers in Weston FL
If you’re looking for a way to improve the look of your teeth without invasive procedures or long recovery times, then porcelain veneers are an excellent choice. Porcelain veneers provide many benefits for patients who want improved aesthetics without invasive procedures or long recovery times. Veneers are thin pieces of porcelain that are bonded to your teeth. They can be used to improve the shape, color and alignment of your teeth. Porcelain veneers are durable and can last for many years without needing repair or replacement.
Porcelain veneers benefits
Porcelain veneers are a great option for patients who want to improve the appearance of their smile with minimal tooth preparation, even if they don’t want to remove any tooth structure.
Veneers are thin pieces of porcelain that are bonded to your teeth. They can be used to cover up discolored or misshapen teeth, close gaps between teeth and reshape them so they look more uniform in size and shape.
Porcelain veneers are custom designed by one of our Weston FL dentists based on a mold taken from your mouth during an initial consultation. After being fabricated at our state-of-the-art dental lab, these custom made veneers will then be carefully placed on each individual tooth during a second appointment at our office.*
What are Porcelain Veneers?
Veneers are thin pieces of porcelain that are bonded to your teeth. They can be used to improve the shape, color and alignment of your teeth.
They are also non-invasive and can be removed from your mouth at any time. Veneers are made from high quality porcelain, which makes them durable, strong and resistant to staining. They can be used to improve the shape of your teeth or give you a smile that is more symmetrical in appearance.

Porcelain veneers are durable and can last for many years without needing repair or replacement. If the porcelain veneer does need to be replaced, it can be done so in a simple procedure that takes only a few minutes. The dentist will remove the old porcelain, clean off any remaining adhesive and apply new material to cover up any gaps between your natural teeth and gums.
Porcelain veneers require very little tooth preparation before they can be applied. In some cases, there is no tooth preparation required at all.

Dentists will remove a very small amount of enamel or cementum (the hard outer layer of your teeth) from the surface of your natural teeth so that it matches the color and shape of your new porcelain veneer. They may also remove a thin layer of gum tissue to make room for the new dental work and create an opening for air circulation within your mouth as well as allow food particles to pass through easily when chewing food items like pizza slices or hotdogs with mustard on top!
Once this has been done, we will take impressions (molds) in order to make molds: one set that serves as an impression molding device while another acts as our patient record documenting everything we’ve done thus far including what type materials were used during construction which means if anything happens later down road then all paperwork/records regarding previous procedures will still remain intact since they were never removed from our office beforehand.”
If you have any questions or concerns about your dental care, please do not hesitate to call us and speak with one of our dentists. They are always happy to answer your questions and address any concerns that you may have so that we can work together in order to achieve the best possible results for your new porcelain veneer!
Veneers FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What heppens to my teeth after veneers?
The integrity of veneered teeth is only marginally compromised, and the veneer is bonded to the existing teeth. There is no higher incidence of decay provided the veneers are properly cared for as previously mentioned with regular flossing and brushing with toothpaste. In general, it is good dental advice to keep your sugar consumption low and confined to mealtimes to prevent decay.
How long will porcelain veneers last?
They can last from seven to twenty years. While the veneer itself is inert and non-living, the tooth or teeth to which they are attached and the surrounding gum tissues are living and may change. For example, gum line shrinkage may expose or reveal root surfaces. If a veneer comes off it can generally be re-bonded. If it chips it can sometimes be re-bonded or otherwise replaced.
How much does it cost to get a Hollywood teeth?
On average, Lumineers or traditional veneers can cost anywhere between $800 and $2,000 per tooth, depending on individual cases and needs.
How can porcelain veneers improve my smile?
Porcelain veneers can be used in a number of different ways. The most common uses are to:
- Repair minor tooth imperfections and defects
- Cover over and conceal fillings that have become stained or discolored
- Make color changes to teeth that have permanent stains
- Close the spaces between teeth
Does dental insurance cover porcelain veneers?
Some insurance companies will cover up to 50% of the fee they deem customary. However, it depends upon what your employer has contracted for with your insurance company rather than what Family Cosmetic Dentistry is charging. Don’t forget that we also have to pay the dental technician who actually fabricates the veneers, a critical component in the fee.
